Ava Clarissa and the Perfect Spot

written by Lynne Brooks copyright 2006

Ava Clarissa
With her mom and her pop
Strolled down the beach looking for the perfect spot to stop

Ava Clarissa
Said to her mom and her pop
This looks like the perfect spot to stop

So Ava Clarissa
And her mom and her pop
Stopped at that wonderfully perfect spot to stop

Down went their blanket
Up went their shade
Out came the sandwiches and cold pink lemonade

They ate and they sipped
They sunned and they tanned
They played all day long on the beach made of sand

They built sand castles
With turrets and tassels

They swam like fishes
And fed seagulls from dishes

They brought kites to fly
And games to try

They saw frogs on logs.
Butterflies and dragonflies

They swam and they ran
They dug for clams

They watched clouds drift by
And boats sail by

The laid down on their blanket and rested
And then
you guessed it!

They did it all over again!

They played and they stayed
Until the end of the day
Ava Clarissa
said her mom and her pop
Thank you
You picked the perfect spot to stop
